2010 Eblast Reconfirmation Contest

        

We spent the fall of 2010 asking everybody to update their information with Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, and what did you get for doing that? A one-week dream vacation! Oh! And with no limitations! In January, 2011 we announced the winners, Dan Kazakoff and his family from Lethbridge, Alberta who chose a summer holiday at the resort.

Here are the winners:

Here is what they did:

They arrived on July 18th, 2011 and checked into to the amazing Grand Chalet Grizzli where every member of the family could probably have enough space to not even bump into each other all week! But in actuality, they spent a lot of great quality time relaxing in the living rooms, enjoying the 30ft fireplaces, cooking in the deluxe kitchen and playing pool in the billiard room.

They all received complimentary summer season passes to KHMR and took several rides on the Golden Eagle Express Gondola, had some lunch at the award-winning Eagle's Eye Restaurant and toured the Grizzly Bear Interpretive Center. On Friday night, Kicking Horse reserved them seats for a Sunset Dinner at the Eagle's Eye Restaurant where everyone got to enjoy 360 deg views, a three course meal and some wine pairings all while enjoying the evening sunset.

Sadly, on July 23rd they checked out and returned back to Lethbridge, but left us with a great email and some photos of their trip.

"A BIG THANK YOU to you Kristen and all of your staff at KHR.  Our family had such a great time (we attached some photos).  Your staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way for us to provide such a great experience.  We loved all the walking areas, our daily coffee at the café, we ate sushi and the views from the Gondola were amazing.  The kids loved the trampoline jump area.  Kicking Horse Resort offers so much to everyone.  It has a bright future as a four season resort.  We are already recommending it to our friends, if they wish to experience a resort that has many options both in the winter and summer.  John Lush from Lush Mountain Accommodations was great.  He came out on Monday night and greeted us and talked about the amenities of the Grand Chalet Grizzli. What a great place.  It is truly amazing.  It is close enough to everything at KHR, but also in a place that allows you to just escape and relax.  Our dinner at the Eagle Eye restaurant on Friday night was truly world class.  We even saw a double rainbow when we headed up on the gondola!!  Our waitress is in training to be a master sommelier and she gave us great background on every course and wine paring.  We also found the lady giving the grizzly refuge talks very knowledgeable and giving with info.  We learned a great deal about Boo and the refuge.  Glad he came back!!  I would also like to add that KHR should feel so lucky to have you.  You took time to come and meet us, gave us so much info on KHR and truly made us feel at home.  You are a credit to that resort.  I wish you the best in all your endeavours.  I also look forward to seeing the progress on the 40-year plan you have put in place.  We will definitely be going back to KHR.  As my son Thomas and daughter Kirstin stated, KHR rocks!!!!!  Enough said.  Thanks again.
