Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is named after the renowned river and high-alpine pass that were instrumental to the opening of the Canadian West. Located at the convergence of six Canadian National Parks, and high in the Dogtooth Range of the Purcell Mountains, the area features countless winter and summer activities. Coined as the Champagne Powder Capital of Canada (TM), the Resort is just 14 km from the Town of Golden, 1.5 hours west of Banff (145 km) and 2.5 hours west of Calgary (270 km) on the Trans-Canada Highway.  Our four season resort encompasses 2,825 acres of ski and snowboarding terrain, 128 runs, and a vertical drop of 4,133 feet.  We can also boast having Canada's highest elevation restaurant sitting at 7,700 feet.  See Media Fact Sheet.
